The Kalaignar's entitlement Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai :
No one other than those earning more than Rs 2.5 lakh per annum, income tax payers, central government, panchayat, municipal employees, pensioners, ward members elected by the people will be able to join the scheme.
Those who pay more than Rs 50 lakh annually as Goods and Services Tax (GST) will not be able to join the scheme. Beneficiaries who are already receiving pension benefits under the government's social security scheme will not get Rs 1,000 per month under this scheme.
The Tamil Nadu government has decided to identify eligible beneficiaries who have been left out of the Kalaignar's entitlement Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme and give them Rs 1,000 per month. This good news is likely to be released before the Pongal festival.

The Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme was launched by Chief Minister Stalin on September 15 last year to give recognition to women's work and to ensure that they do not depend on anyone economically. The eligibility criteria were defined on the basis of economic criteria.
The number of users :
Initially, only 1 crore 6 lakh 52 thousand beneficiaries were connected, but the number of eligible and rejected applicants was being increased continuously. Now , it has over 16M active users . Many people who have got new ration cards and have not applied for the scheme before are waiting to join the scheme.
Chief Minister Stalin :
Deputy Chief Minister and Special Programme Implementation Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said eligible beneficiaries would continue to be included in the women's entitlement scheme.
